Although I started dabbling somewhat earlier, I became a serious student of music at about age 14, with the accordion as my instrument of choice. I started playing for local dances when I was 15, and have since learned the guitar and bass. All tolled, I have been either directly or indirectly responsible for teaching over 900 students of all ages to play and enjoy music. In addition, music has taken me to the U.S.A., Sweden, Norway, Italy, Iceland and the Faeroe Islands, not to mention countless hundreds of engagements closer to home. Through many endeavours of various description during my years on this planet, my involvement with music has been a continuous and persistent thread .
